Cogniify is hiring an AI Data Scientist to build ML and NLP models that enhance product relevance and personalization. You will work with large data sets, develop predictive and recommender models, and run live experiments to demonstrate impact.

This is a remote role based in the United States with Pacific Time overlap preferred. Core skills include Python, SQL, Hive, SparkSQL, scikit-learn, ML/NLP libraries, feature engineering, and A/B testing.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in CS, Statistics, Applied Math, OR Data Science, or a similar technical field.
• At least 4 years of industry experience in data science and applied machine learning.
• At least 4 years of experience with modern analytics tools and programming languages, notably Python and ML/NLP libraries.
• Strong skills in SQL, Hive, and SparkSQL for large-scale data.
• Hands-on experience with ML models and NLP embeddings for language understanding and personalization.
• Excellent ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Work hands-on with very large data sets from exploration to production models.
• Use NLP and ML to design, improve, and measure personalization across the customer journey.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to plan experiments and build early versions of new ideas.
• Acquire, clean, and prepare data (ETL in SQL, Hive, and SparkSQL) for modeling.
• Develop features from raw data by combining domain knowledge with statistics to improve models.
• Run A/B tests, analyze results, and explain impact to peers and leaders.
• Keep up with ML/AI trends to improve customer outcomes.

Cogniifyis hiring an AI Data Scientist to build machine learning and NLP models thatmake our products more relevant and more personal for the people who use them.

You willwork hands-on with very large data sets, build and test predictive andrecommender models, and run live experiments to check whether your work made areal difference. You will sit close to product managers, software engineers,and designers, so it helps if you enjoy talking through an idea and turning itinto a small working version quickly.

This is aremote role based in the United States, with working hours that overlap withPacific Time preferred.

WhatYou Will Do

• Work hands-on with very large data sets, from initialexploration through to the finished production model.
• Use data mining, NLP, and both supervised andunsupervised machine learning to design, improve, and measure relevance andpersonalization across the customer journey.
• Work side by side with product managers, softwareengineers, and designers to plan experiments and build early versions of newideas.
• Find the data you need, get access, bring it in, clean itup, and make it ready for modeling, including handling your own ETL in SQL,Hive, and SparkSQL.
• Build and improve features from raw data, combiningdomain knowledge with sound statistics so the model gets better with everyround.
• Run A/B tests on a regular basis, collect the results, dothe statistical analysis, and explain what your changes did to your peers andto leaders.
• Keep watching new design and technology trends in machinelearning and AI, and work out how they could improve what customers get fromus.

What WeAre Looking For

• A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, AppliedMath, Operations Research, Data Science, or a similar technical field.
• At least 4 years of industry experience in data scienceand applied machine learning.
• At least 4 years of experience with modern analyticstools and programming languages, mainly Python (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy)along with modern deep learning or NLP libraries.
• Strong skills in SQL, Hive, and SparkSQL for working withlarge-scale data.
• At least 4 years of applied machine learning andstatistical modeling experience—such as classification, regression, decisiontrees, neural networks, recommender systems, sequential pattern discovery, andtext mining—along with hands-on experience in deep learning and embedding-basedrepresentations for NLP, language understanding, recommendation, andpersonalization.
• Clear, grounded communication skills so you can explaincomplex technical topics to people who are technical and people who are not.
