Job summary

Apple Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AiDP team. You will help build data streaming and database managed services powering Apple’s AI and data initiatives, collaborating with database engineers and platform teams.

We value experience with Go or Java, distributed SQL, cloud-based services, and modern containerization with Kubernetes and Docker. You will work in a fast-paced environment delivering scalable data platforms and APIs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience with Go or Java.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in developing highly optimized SQLs for distributed data applications.
• BS in Computer Science or similar degree or equivalent industry experience.
• MS in Computer Science preferred.
• Strong programming in Go for Go-based systems.
• Experience with RESTful/gRPC services, ETL, queues.
• Kubernetes and Docker experience.
• Knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency.

Responsibilities

• Develop APIs offering foundational services of the data platform.
• Collaborate with database engineers and architects to develop services.
