Job summary

CME Group Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer II for Data Platform Engineering in Chicago. This hybrid role requires two days on site and focuses on building AI data agents that leverage the company’s knowledge catalog, knowledge graph, and analytics stack.

You will create modular agent skills, design evaluation processes, and integrate intelligent tooling with BigQuery and enterprise pipelines, collaborating with data engineers to expand governance and semantic models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related field with 2+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents using Google ADK and LangChain.
• Experience developing Agent Skills and Agent Evals.
• Experience using Claude, Anti Gravity, GitHub Copilot in the software lifecycle.
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs, enterprise data catalogs, semantic data models, and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI data agents to query and navigate the enterprise knowledge graph, data catalogs, and analytics systems.
• Develop modular Agent Skills to perform data retrieval, transformation, and analytics tasks.
• Create Agent Evals to test reliability, accuracy, and factual consistency of outputs.
• Build intelligent integrations with unified data pipelines and BigQuery ecosystems.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ingest and expand the enterprise knowledge catalog and knowledge graph.
