Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our distributed AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and new AI products. You will develop high-quality datasets at scale, partner with AI scientists, and own data-processing systems from design to deployment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering, strong Python and Bash skills in Linux, and hands-on experience with data pipelines or large-scale processing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, especially data pipelines or large-scale processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of data and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Own engineering projects from discovery to deployment and iteration.
