Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Consultant, AI and Data Engineer to shape data pipelines and AI solutions for enterprise clients. You will build Snowflake-based data foundations and deploy LLM-driven applications that address real business challenges.

You will collaborate with architects, data scientists, and analysts to deliver production-grade AI systems, ensuring governance, security, and scalable architecture across client projects. This role is US-based and allows remote work within the country.

Qualifications

• Experience spanning data engineering and applied AI in consulting or professional services.
• Strong SQL and Python with experience in data transformation tools.
• Cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred; other cloud data services acceptable).
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications and RAG workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate ETL/ELT pipelines and data models on Snowflake.
• Develop, evaluate, and deploy LLM-based and ML models to solve client problems.
• Prepare and govern data for AI consumption, including embeddings and vector stores.
• Deploy solutions to cloud environments with CI/CD and IaC practices.
• Communicate options and trade-offs to clients and ensure secure data handling.
