Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our distributed AI team and build the data pipelines powering model training. You will gather audio data sources, ensure data quality, and scale data processing to support next-generation models.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend software experience, strong Python and Bash skills, and experience with production systems and data pipelines. Cloud exposure (GCP, Terraform) is a plus. Remote role with global impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems with data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and independence in ambiguous settings.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Own engineering projects from discovery through implementation and iteration.
