Job summary

Designworks Talent is seeking an Applied Researcher – Data Centers in a Hybrid Bellevue, WA setting. The role focuses on developing a forward-looking technical perspective on AI model inference and data center infrastructure, influencing roadmaps, architecture, and economics for AI workloads.

You will work with senior leaders, investigate complex questions, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for engineering, product, and finance, while maintaining strong technical credibility

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, building, or operating data center infrastructure at scale.
• Demonstrated experience with GPU-based compute environments.
• Working knowledge of the power side of the business, interconnect, capacity procurement, and build timelines.

Responsibilities

• Hold the company's view of where data center infrastructure is going and track roadmaps.
• Formulate and validate the product and engineering thesis; defend cost and schedule.
• Own the technical reference view of a GPU generation hall: density, power envelope, cooling topology.
