Job summary

Astreya is seeking an AI Infrastructure Datacenter Design Engineer Intern to support the engineering team with basic data hall design, AutoCAD drafting, and infrastructure planning while gaining hands-on experience in AI and hyperscale data centers.

This role is designed for students or recent graduates to develop foundational knowledge in datacenter infrastructure and project coordination under guidance of senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in engineering or CS.
• Basic understanding of data center concepts.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio or drafting tools.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and communication.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a team.
• Interest in AI infrastructure or cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and updating AutoCAD drawings and rack layouts.
• Support data hall design documentation and asset tracking.
• Assist with infrastructure inventory validation and capacity tracking.
• Maintain design standards, templates, and documentation repositories.
• Participate in design reviews, walkthroughs, and QA activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for inputs and records.
• Prepare project reports, spreadsheets, diagrams, and technical docs.
• Learn data center concepts including power, cooling, cabling, racks, AI clusters.
• Follow procedures, standards, and safety requirements.
• Assist with administrative and project coordination tasks.
