Job summary

Turing is seeking a Software Engineering evaluator contractor based in the United States to help create high-quality datasets for training and benchmarking large language models. You will curate code examples and solutions across languages such as Python, JavaScript (ReactJS), C/C++, Java, Rust, and Go, and you’ll assess AI-generated code for efficiency and reliability.

You will collaborate with researchers and cross-functional teams, building verification mechanisms and prototypes that scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building full-stack applications and deploying scalable, production-grade software.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design, development, debugging, and code quality/review assessment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear, structured evaluation rationales.

Responsibilities

• Curate code examples, build solutions across Python, JavaScript (ReactJS), C/C++, Java, Rust, and Go.
• Evaluate and refine AI-generated code for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AI-driven coding solutions against industry performance benchmarks.
• Build agents that verify the quality of the code and identify error patterns.
• Hypothesize on steps in the software engineering cycle and evaluate model capabilities on them.
• Design verification mechanisms that can automatically verify a solution to a software engineering task.
