Job summary

Aquent in Houston, TX seeks a senior Cloud Architect to lead application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives across Azure and Google Cloud. You will design scalable architectures, migrate on-premise apps, and drive API-driven microservices and governance.

You will shape AI capabilities using Gemini Enterprise for CX, Azure AI, and OpenAI services, while embedding security, DevSecOps, and data integration across enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and enterprise delivery.
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure/Google cloud architecture experience.
• 3+ years designing and implementing AI/Generative AI solutions.
• Proven success leading large-scale modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Experience delivering customer-facing digital platforms and enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities

• Assess and modernize legacy apps using cloud-native patterns.
• Design scalable solutions with Azure PaaS and Gemini Enterprise for CX.
• Lead migration of on-premises apps to Microsoft Azure.
• Transform monoliths into microservices and API-driven architectures.
• Develop modernization roadmaps aligned to business goals and CX objectives.
• Establish architectural standards, governance, security, and ops practices.
• Architect resilient Azure solutions with App Services, AKS, Functions, API Management, SQL, Cosmos DB.
• Implement IaC with Terraform and Bicep; drive cloud adoption for reliability and cost optimization.
• Design AI-enabled capabilities using Gemini, Azure AI Services, and Azure OpenAI.
• Create AI copilots, intelligent assistants, document intelligence, and knowledge systems.
• Leverage AI Search, vector DBs, Semantic Kernel, and RAG architectures.
• Establish AI governance, security, and monitoring standards.
• Identify AI-driven opportunities to improve customer and employee experiences.
