Job summary

Acentra Health is seeking an AI Business Partner, Mid, to join our HealthTech Systems team. You will identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and data-driven approaches to improve performance, product capability, service quality, and user experience.

Under guidance of senior staff, you will translate business needs into concrete use cases, coordinate with stakeholders, and help plan from discovery through delivery, while upholding privacy, compliance, and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years in healthcare technology, operations, product management, or a related business-facing role.
• Knowledge of healthcare administration workflows and AI concepts.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating needs into structured concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document AI opportunities across provider, claims, and related workflows.
• Support discovery conversations on workflow automation, decision support, and knowledge retrieval.

Job Summary

The AI Business Partner supports the AI & Automation Center of Excellence and assigned business teams in identifying and advancing practical AI opportunities that improve operational performance, product capability, service quality, and user experience. The role applies a working knowledge of AI, generative AI, automation, and data-driven innovation to help teams explore possibilities and translate business needs into clearly defined use cases. Within the HealthTech Systems organization, this position works with colleagues supporting provider and claims software platforms, services, and operations. Under the guidance of senior team members, the AI Business Partner helps document opportunities, assess business value and readiness, coordinate stakeholders, and support AI concepts as they move from discovery into planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HealthTech Systems stakeholders to identify and document AI opportunities across provider, claims, and related software and service workflows.
• Support discovery conversations and working sessions focused on workflow automation, decision support, knowledge retrieval, document intelligence, and user assistance.
• Translate business needs, pain points, and operational goals into use case summaries, requirements, business value hypotheses, and initial solution concepts.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, product teams, transformation partners, change management, data teams, and AI engineering resources to support alignment and follow-through.
• Assist with evaluating feasibility, value, risk, data readiness, workflow impact, and adoption considerations for proposed AI initiatives.
• Prepare intake materials, business case inputs, prioritization documentation, status updates, and presentations for review by senior team members and business leaders.
• Apply responsible AI practices by identifying needs related to human oversight, data sensitivity, privacy, compliance, and operational risk, and escalating concerns appropriately.
• Maintain project and opportunity tracking, capture stakeholder feedback, monitor adoption themes, and document anticipated or realized business impact.
• Contribute to reusable tools, templates, and lessons learned that improve the AI opportunity intake and delivery process.
• Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare technology, healthcare operations, product management, business analysis, consulting, transformation, or a related business-facing role.
• Working knowledge of healthcare administration workflows, such as provider systems, claims platforms, utilization management, care management, or payer/provider service operations.
• Working understanding of AI, generative AI, automation, data analytics, and emerging technology concepts, with the ability to communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Experience gathering business requirements, documenting workflows, identifying operational challenges, and translating needs into structured requirements or solution concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience contributing to business cases, initiative prioritization, process improvement, or technology-enabled transformation efforts.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow established processes, work with moderate independence, and elevate risks or decisions when appropriate.
• Ability to balance innovation with practical considerations such as feasibility, adoption, change impact, compliance, data sensitivity, and responsible AI use.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI, automation, analytics, digital transformation, or product innovation initiatives in a healthcare or software environment.
• Familiarity with claims processing, provider data, provider portals, prior authorization, interoperability, or healthcare platform modernization.
• Experience collaborating with AI engineers, data scientists, product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, or technical delivery teams.
• Experience using generative AI tools for research, documentation, workflow analysis, solution framing, or productivity improvements.
• Familiarity with agile delivery methods, project tracking tools, or process-mapping techniques.

Experience In Lieu Of Degree

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
