Job summary

Ethereum Technologies LLC in Dallas seeks a senior backend engineer to build and maintain the tools and APIs powering AI agents. You will focus on reliability, performance, and scalable orchestration using LangChain or LangGraph, while optimizing data ingestion with vector databases.

You will implement secure REST/GraphQL interfaces and ensure guardrails for autonomous agent actions, leveraging FastAPI, asyncio, and modern cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience with Python, specifically FastAPI, Pydantic, and Asyncio.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Vector Databases.
• Experience deploying containerized apps using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of distributed systems and high latency/compute needs of LLM-based apps.
• Mastery of Git and CI/CD best practices.
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering and AI observability tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend tools, APIs, scrapers, and database connectors for AI agents.
• Implement orchestration using LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI for multi-agent coordination.
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines with vector databases for proper context retrieval.
• Manage asynchronous tasks with FastAPI/Asyncio and Redis/Celery.
• Design secure, high-performance REST or GraphQL APIs between backend and frontend.
• Implement backend safety guards and governance for autonomous agent actions.
