Job summary

State of Arizona – Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable AI and Agentic AI capabilities. You will collaborate across product management, vendors, and development teams to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.

The hybrid role requires strong architecture skills and the ability to work with a mix of on-site and remote work, aligning with AZDES objectives and timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience designing secure and scalable AI architectures.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI and Agentic AI development.
• Design data ingestion, LLM, ML, RAG, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Experience with AI agentic solutions and production-ready docs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate requirements.

Responsibilities

Location: Phoenix, AZ – Hybrid / Local Only

Duration: 18 Months from projected start date

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Work Location: 1400 W. Washington St. #200, Phoenix, AZ 85007

Closing Date: 09/18/2026 at 4:00 PM

Position Overview

The AI Solutions Architect will work with the internal AI product management team, vendor teams, and development staff to design, develop, enhance, and streamline secure and scalable AI and Agentic AI solutions for AZDES. The role requires independent judgment, strong architecture skills, and the ability to translate business and technical requirements into production-ready AI solutions.

Hybrid, 1-3 days a month in the office
