Job summary

AMD in San Jose, CA is seeking an AI Applications Engineer to join the Wired and Wireless Business Team within the AECG. This early-career role combines AI/ML with FPGA/SoC design, embedded systems, and AI infrastructure security to deliver efficient, secure reference designs.

You will work with Vivado/Vitis tool flows, optimize AI models for edge deployments, and collaborate across engineering, product, and customers to advance AMD's AI hardware roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with AI/ML in hardware context is preferred.
• Knowledge of FPGA design and AI deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-assisted workflows for FPGA/SoC designs.
• Tune and evaluate open-source AI models for edge security.
• Deploy AI inference on FPGA SoCs, NPUs, GPUs.
• Collaborate with teams and present findings.
• Contribute to AI infrastructure security initiatives.
• Create benchmarks and technical content.
