Job summary

Amplite, a leading AI analytics platform, seeks a Software Engineer I for the Agent Analytics team. You'll help build backend and data pipeline features, starting with well-scoped tasks and growing into ownership, processing agent traces, APIs, and data exports.

You'll work with TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse, learning how APIs, queries, and asynchronous processing fit in production. We value solid fundamentals, curiosity, and a willingness to learn backend systems and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one language (TypeScript, Python, Java) through coursework or work.
• Strong fundamentals in programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Curious about AI agents, data pipelines, and backend systems.
• Familiarity with SQL, APIs, cloud infrastructure, or data pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship backend features and APIs for exploring agent sessions, traces, and evaluation results, with guidance from experienced engineers
• Contribute to data pipelines that ingest, enrich, synchronize, and export agent data, including tests and validation
• Investigate slow queries and pipeline issues, and improve data freshness, processing throughput, and the responsiveness of customer-facing features
• Write maintainable code and automated tests, participate in code reviews, and use logs and metrics to debug services and make background jobs more reliable
• Work with Engineering, Product, and Design to understand customer needs and deliver well-scoped improvements from implementation through rollout, with mentorship along the way
