Job summary

Bi-State Development is seeking an AI Agent and Analytics Intern to develop practical AI solutions that enhance reporting, analysis, automation, and access to business information. You will work with the CIO and IT staff to build AI agents using Copilot Studio, Claude, and other approved technologies, linking data from enterprise systems to extract useful insights.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, AI, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience or coursework involving Generative AI, AI agents, or data analytics.
• Familiarity with Copilot Studio, Claude, Azure AI, Power Automate, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, databases, spreadsheets, Python, or data integration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Interest in AI governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and responsible AI.
• Preferred: Experience with Power BI, RAG/enterprise search, financial reporting, APIs/connectors, or AI testing and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents, copilots, and automated workflows.
• Connect AI solutions to approved databases, APIs, documents, spreadsheets, and business systems.
• Develop solutions for technology budget management and reporting.
• Create prompts, workflows, and agent logic to improve accuracy and usefulness.
• Analyze data to be AI ready.
• Prototype and test AI use cases for business and operational needs.
• Validate solutions for accuracy, reliability, data quality, security, and responsible AI use
• Document solutions, data sources, prompts, integrations, and test results.
• Work in collaboration with programming team for implementation of use cases.

Education

Pursuing or completed degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, AI, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field
