Job summary

Koniag Government Services seeks an AI Adoption Specialist with TS/SCI to support AI/RPA initiatives at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. This role supports ACC mission integration and provides hands-on training in AI/RPA tools to operators.

You will translate complex concepts into clear guidance, coordinate across units, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data governance, and classification requirements while working on-site in secure facilities.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AI, RPA, and ML concepts.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance, and records management policies applicable to DoD networks.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable guidance.
  • Ability to work on-site at JBLE with TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of long-term strategic plans for AI/RPA integration across ACC directorate and wings.
  • Collect and synthesize data to inform AI/RPA adoption strategies and measure mission impact.
  • Coordinate AI/RPA integration activities across multiple functional areas and units.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support AI/RPA integration.
  • Provide applied hands-on training to users on AI/RPA tools in ACC mission-relevant contexts.

Essential Job Functions
Core Tasks
  • Assist in the development of long-term strategic plans for AI/RPA integration across ACC directorate and wings.
  • Active TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility
  • Collect and synthesize data to inform AI/RPA adoption strategies and measure mission impact.
  • Coordinate AI/RPA integration activities across multiple functional areas and units.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support AI/RPA integration.
  • Identify AI/RPA opportunities through direct observation of workflows and user engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of AI/RPA tools and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide applied hands‑on training to users on AI/RPA tools in ACC mission-relevant contexts.
  • Provide technical advisory support on AI/RPA integration, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, data governance, and classification requirements.
  • Support the prototyping, testing, and transition of AI/RPA solutions into sustained operations.
  • Translate technical AI/RPA concepts into ACC mission-relevant guidance for operational users.
Additional Core Tasks
  • Assist in the development of training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides for AI/RPA tools.
  • Coordinate with AI/RPA Solutions Architect to conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
  • Facilitate user-driven innovation challenges (e.g., solution-a-thons, ideation workshops).
  • Maintain knowledge repositories and update materials based on user feedback and evolving tool capabilities.
  • Participate in governance bodies, technical exchanges, and working groups related to AI/RPA adoption.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Core Knowledge
  • Knowledge of AI, RPA, and machine learning concepts and their operational application in DoD/IC mission contexts.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance, and records management policies applicable to DoD networks (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, AFSCI).
  • Knowledge of DoD and Air Force AI ethical principles, data strategies, and governance structures.
  • Knowledge of IT integration and secure network operations across classified and unclassified environments.
  • Knowledge of performance measurement, KPIs, and mission outcome evaluation.
Additional Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Air Force information security, OPSEC, and CUI handling requirements.
  • Knowledge of enterprise AI and RPA platforms (e.g., Ask Sage and other DoW derived tools, e.g., Envision).
Core Skills
  • Skill in delivering hands‑on, mission‑relevant instruction to technical and non‑technical users.
  • Skill in identifying practical AI/RPA use cases through direct observation and user engagement.
  • Skill in prototyping and testing AI/RPA solutions in operational environments.
  • Skill in translating complex technical concepts into actionable, user‑friendly guidance.
  • Skill in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and facilitating cross‑functional collaboration.

  • Skill in creating basic knowledge materials, advise on SOP development, and job aids tailored to mission‑specific workflows.

  • Skill in using collaboration and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, DAF365).

  • Ability to maintain TS/SCI clearance and comply with all security and operational requirements.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Location and Environment:Primary Work Location:Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE), Virginia. Classified Facilities:Regular work in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and secure spaces. Workspace:Government‑provided office space in secure facility; access to NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and collaboration tools. Classified Work:Regular access to classified environments (SIPRNet, AFSCI)requiredfor coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Travel & Schedule Expectations
  • In‑person presence at JBLE during normal duty hours (0800–1700 EST, Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays).
  • Travel: as required to support ACC Directorates and Wing AI/RPA adoption activities, coordinated through ACC A3/AI Division.
  • Work in both classified and unclassified environments; ability to operate in SCIFs and meet all physical security requirements.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use computers for extended periods; ability to lift and transport training materials and equipment as needed.
  • Schedule and Availability:Core Hours:0800-1700 EST, Monday-Friday), with occasional extended hours to meet mission deadlines or support operational events.
  • Flexibility:Occasional early morning or evening meetings to accommodate ACC schedules across time zones.
  • Telework:No telework eligibility for unclassified administrative tasks; all classified work must be performed on‑site in approved facilities.
