Job summary

Modular Mining Systems, Inc. seeks an Autonomous Systems (AS) Training Development Specialist to lead training for Komatsu’s Autonomous Haulage System (AHS). You will partner with the Professional Development team and regional distributors to develop and maintain training programs, materials, and timelines.

In this role, you will oversee AHS trainer activities, coordinate deployment support, and drive continuous improvement in training delivery across diverse regions and sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mining experience at the operational level.
• 2+ years in operational Fleet Management Systems.
• Experience training Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) instructors and users.
• Experience with AHS regional deployments.
• Experience as a field operator and Central Controller preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and functionality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Training/Assessment certification preferred.
• Experience developing needs analyses and training plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively work with development teams for creating, reviewing, and maintaining training and documentation materials.
• Support the implementation and execution of the FrontRunner Training Program and other training initiatives in the regions.
• Act as subject matter expert for AHS sites, regional trainers, Performance Assurance, and related training development roles.
• Support AHS deployments, such as training plans and regional personnel.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer sessions for new system releases and advise on new features.
• Evaluate training needs and propose training solutions with stakeholders.
• Develop and implement Train-the-Trainer programs and policies for certifying FrontRunner instructors and users.
• Maintain records of training activities and centralize certifications.

Job Purpose

As an Autonomous Systems (AS) Training Development Specialist, you will lead training-related needs of Komatsu’s Autonomous Haulage System (AHS).This includes proactively working with the Autonomous Systems Professional Development Center teams and regional distributor networks to develop and maintain training programs for autonomous systems, manage and coordinate training deployment, training development, and timelines. In in this role, you will oversee the AHS trainer(s) activities in a program area.

Travel Requirements

Up to 100%.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Proactively work with development teams for creating, reviewing, and maintaining training and documentation materials
• Support the implementation and execution of the FrontRunner Training Program and other training initiatives in the regions.
• Act as subject matter expert, such as for AHS sites, regional trainers, Performance Assurance, Continuous Improvement initiatives, Training and documentation development, Technical Support, including elaborating guidelines for assessment and certification of trainees based on local requirements and regulations.
• Support AHS deployments, such as by developing training plans, training regional personnel, and conducting training.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer sessions for new system releases and provide advice on new system features.
• Proactively work to increase users’ system knowledge and best practice, including evaluating training needs, working with stakeholders to determine and execute training solutions, and proposing training initiatives.
• Proactively work with Training development team in developing and implementing Train-the-Trainer (TTT) Program and policies for certifying FrontRunner instructors and users.
• Maintain appropriate records of training activities and collaborate with the Professional Development team to maintain a centralized database of all training, assessments and certifications provided.
• Oversee trainers’ activities in a program area and provide guidance for their professional development
• Other duties as assigned
