Qualifications

• Experience as a physician, RN, NP, RT, PA, CM, or CNM in neonatal care.
• Ongoing experience caring for newborns in delivery or birthing centers.
• Willingness to obtain AHA and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Instruct various life support courses including BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or NRP.
• Teach or co-teach 2 instructor-led events every 2 years.
• Maintain training equipment and keep accurate records of attendance.

Instruct various life support courses, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or NRP, following the guidelines of the American Heart Association and American Academy of Pediatrics.

Instructor Commitments

• Teach at least 4 courses in 2 years according to AHA guidelines
• Maintain current provider certification
• Support the Chain of Survival and AHA's mission in the community
• Conduct in accordance with the ECC Leadership Code of Conduct
• Avoid conflicts of interest as per AHA policies
• Teach or co-teach 2 instructor-led events every 2 years, including NRP guidelines

Requirements

• Conduct courses per AHA standards
• Provide hands-on training and evaluate participants
• Keep accurate records of attendance and performance
• Stay updated with AHA content changes
• Maintain training equipment
