Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required (Associate's Degree or higher preferred).
• One or more years of teaching or instructional experience preferred.
• Must be a current American Heart Association Instructor.
• Valid American Heart Association Instructor certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, or other applicable AHA disciplines.
• Must maintain current AHA Instructor status and meet applicable AHA instructor and Training Center requirements.
• Proficiency utilizing applicable instructional technology and learning management systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver American Heart Association courses using approved curriculum, materials, technologies, and methodologies.
• Facilitate course content and video presentations, provide instruction and demonstrations, answer questions, and supervise hands-on skills practice.
• Administer written examinations and skills evaluations, provide feedback, and determine successful completion.
• Prepare and manage course materials and instructional equipment.
• Travel to College locations, employer sites, and approved training locations as needed.
• Collaborate with the AHA Training Center Coordinator and FVTC staff.
