Job summary

Nebraska Ag Connection is seeking an Agronomy Operations Technician to support agronomy services, fertilizer blending, crop scouting, soil sampling, and plant operations. The role combines field and facility work with a seasonal rhythm and extended peak hours.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and hands-on farm or retail experience, strong math skills, and a mechanically inclined mindset. CDL or applicator license may be preferred and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or related agricultural field preferred.
• Open to entry-level candidates with relevant education.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Mix and blend dry and liquid fertilizers according to blend sheets.
• Assist with crop scouting, monitoring crop health, weeds, or insects.
• Support soil sampling and interpretation of soil test results.
• Develop fertilizer recommendations and coordinate fertilizer applications.
• Load and unload agricultural input products and support plant operations.
• Perform general maintenance on fertilizer equipment and facilities.
