Prairieland FS, Inc. in New Berlin, IL, is seeking a GROWMARK Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern for Summer 2027. You will train and assist with general agronomy functions to learn the FS and GROWMARK System, the agriculture industry, and prepare for a future career.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification in a related field with good academic standing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication, customer focus, and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, including overnight travel.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to participate in required training on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
