Job summary

The Equity is hiring for an Agronomy Operations role at Dieterich, IL. You will maintain equipment and facilities, blend and deliver products, and participate in continuing education to stay current with regulations and products.

The position requires a valid Illinois CDL Class A, a clean driving record, and excellent customer service skills. Travel to other locations may be necessary, and the role may involve off-season fleet work under the direction of the Location Manager.

Responsibilities

• Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures.
• Responsible for daily maintenance, cleanliness and regulatory compliance of equipment and facilities.
• Blending, mixing, delivering, applying, loading and unloading fertilizer, ag chemicals, seed and merchandise as directed.
• Attend continuing education courses to maintain knowledge for products, regulations, and customer relations.
• Off-season: may assist with fleet repair/maintenance or operate the truck fleet as directed by the location manager.
• Communicate professionally with producers, salesmen and the location manager.

Dieterich - Agronomy Operations

The Agronomy Operations role involves maintaining equipment and facilities in compliance with regulations, blending and delivering products, attending continuing education courses, assisting with fleet maintenance during the off-season, and communicating professionally with producers, salesmen, and the location manager.

$19 - $24 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures.
• Responsible for daily maintenance, cleanliness and compliance with state and federal regulations of equipment and facilities.
• Blending, mixing, delivering, applying, loading and unloading fertilizer, ag chemicals, seed and merchandise as directed.
• Attend continuing education courses to maintain a quality level of knowledge for the products, regulations, and customer relations.
• In the off-season, may be required to assist corporate shop personnel in repairing and maintaining fleet or operate the truck fleet as directed by the location manager.
• Be able to communicate in a professional manner to the producer, salesman and location manager.

Work Environment

The nature of the business may require extended hours. Frequently exposed to weather conditions. Working conditions may include exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals with appropriate safety measures. The noise level can be above normal at times.

Physical Demands

The physical demands include lifting objects up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs and ladders.

Travel

The employee may be required to travel to other locations, conferences, educational opportunities and other job-related activities.
