Job summary

Sunrise FS, part of the GROWMARK System, invites a GROWMARK Agronomy Intern for the Summer of 2027 in Kilbourne, IL. You will gain hands-on experience in crop production, field scouting, precision ag, and customer service while engaging in mentorship, professional development, and a capstone project.

This internship emphasizes learning through real-world agronomy operations, supporting farmer-member customers, and participating in program events with travel to FS locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification from a college or university.
• Interest in agronomy, crop production, and agriculture.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support agronomy operations and assist professionals serving farmer-member customers.
• Learn crop production practices and agronomic recommendations.
• Conduct field scouting and collect field data.
• Assist with agronomy trials, plot work, field demonstrations and research projects.
• Use precision agriculture tools for scouting and data collection.
• Travel to FS locations to build relationships with employees and customers.
