Job summary

AGTEGRA COOPERATIVE in Oakes, ND is seeking an Agronomy Intern for the summer of 2027. This hands-on program offers real-world experience within our agronomy operations and exposure to industry practices.

The intern will assist with warehouse and field tasks, crop scouting, product loading, and learning agronomic concepts under supervision from experienced agronomists. Enrollment in an agriculture degree is required or preferred.

• Enrollment towards relevant agriculture degree; agronomy program preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship; must be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Perform agronomy warehouse and plant operations tasks.
• Follow label instructions when loading crop protection products and fertilizers.
• Assist with inventory management and processes.
• Learn agronomic practices such as soil sampling, crop stand evaluation, tissue sampling, and identifying weeds, insects, and diseases.
• Adhere to safety regulations and DOT regulations.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role supports daily agronomy location operations, including mixing and blending chemicals and fertilizers, calibrating and operating equipment, assisting with product deliveries, crop scouting, and gaining hands-on experience with various operational procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all agronomy warehouse and plant operations tasks.
• Follow label instructions and orders when loading crop protection products, blending fertilizer, and when treating seed.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and accurate loading, unloading, and deliveries of products.
• Develop knowledge of proper maintenance procedures for facility equipment, as well as overall warehouse and plant operations.
• Assist with inventory management and processes.
• Learn from agronomists and develop an understanding of key agronomic practices such as soil sampling, crop stand evaluation, tissue sampling, and identifying weeds, insects, and diseases.
• Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrollment towards relevant agriculture degree. Enrollment in an agronomy program is preferred.

• Valid Driver's License.
