Job summary

Key Cooperative is a member-owned rural Iowa cooperative providing Agronomy, Energy, Feed and Grain services. The Applicator and Operations Specialist performs custom fertilizer and chemical applications and supports equipment maintenance at the location.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related experience, a USDA grain license, and a Class A CDL with endorsements. Safety compliance and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
  • USDA grain weighing and grading license required; 7-E pesticide license beneficial.
  • CDL with endorsements required; registered technician or 1-A applicator license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs custom application for the location, with or without staff support.
  • Maintains equipment, plant, rolling stock and operates forklifts, loaders, tender trucks.
  • Loads/unloads inventory and assists with grain movement and storage as needed.
  • Delivers products to customers and ensures accurate blending and application of fertilizers and chemicals.
  • Completes safety reports and follows Key Cooperative safety policies.
