Job summary

The Simplot Company, a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company, seeks a Field Operations Supervisor in the United States to oversee daily field and warehouse activities, inventory control, and delivery coordination at Carson City location. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional agricultural training beneficial.
• 3+ years in agricultural operations, warehouse, logistics, or related fields.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory control, dispatching, product ordering, invoicing, and delivery coordination.
• Strong understanding of agricultural operations, crop production, and fertilizer products.
• Experience with equipment maintenance and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with computer systems and operational software; AgVance experience preferred.
• Ability to organize work and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily operations of field, warehouse, and delivery activities.
• Coordinate daily work plans, schedules, and field activities to meet objectives safely and on time.
• Lead and develop team members; support onboarding and staffing needs.
• Serve as primary contact for field employees; provide guidance and issue resolution.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, tools, vehicles, and assets; coordinate preventative maintenance.
• Oversee inventory processes including receiving, storage, cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies.
• Coordinate logistics: dispatch trucks, manage deliveries and pickups, ensure excellent customer service.
• Support fertilizer and crop protection application operations; ensure correct procedures and planning.
• Maintain accurate records related to inventory, maintenance, and scheduling.
• Assist with planning equipment purchases and facility improvements to boost safety and productivity.
• Communicate updates and performance metrics to management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and service.
