Job summary

Wilbur-Ellis is seeking an Agriculture Field Scout I to support the sales team in western Michigan facilities such as Sparta, Grant, Hart, Watervliet, and Three Rivers. You will place and monitor pest traps, collect soil samples as directed, and report findings to the appropriate Sales Representative.

The role emphasizes field data collection, GPS mapping, and adherence to safety standards, with opportunities to grow within a long-standing, family-owned ag leader.

Qualifications

• Interest in Agriculture, Plant Science, or Horticulture.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and digital field tools.
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle per state laws and company policies.
• Knowledge of agricultural operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install traps for placement in the field.
• Inspect and monitor traps on a weekly basis.
• Maintain data counts of pests trapped.
• Use GPS to map fields.
• Comply with company safety standards.
• Take soil samples as needed or directed by sales.
• Scout crops for economic pests and report to Sales Rep.
