Job summary

South Dakota Corn Growers Association and South Dakota Corn Utilization Council in Sioux Falls, SD, seek a Communications Coordinator to tell the story of agriculture through social media, publications, and events. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, agricultural communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and project-coordination abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and social media management tools.
• Ability to travel throughout South Dakota, including occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Represent at consumer outreach events, trade shows, fairs, and educational activities.
• Create, schedule, publish, and monitor social media content across platforms.
• Develop graphics and short-form content using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Monitor audience engagement and identify opportunities to increase reach and engagement.
• Assist with coordinating the production of publications like Emerge magazine.
• Capture photographs and video at meetings, events, and farm visits and edit for various channels.
• Coordinate radio recording schedules and draft newsletters, emails, and fact sheets.
• Maintain communications calendars and project timelines.
• Perform other communications-related duties as assigned.
