Jay Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Teacher to join our district. You will report to the building principal and work with an assigned aide if applicable to deliver exceptional instruction within district policies.

The role is a 12-month contract with exempt status. You will collaborate with staff to plan lessons, maintain records, and support student growth through ongoing professional development.

Formación

  • Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in assigned subject(s).
  • Ability to follow district policies and procedures.

Responsabilidades

  • Establish and implement classroom procedures to maximize student learning.
  • Prepare detailed weekly lesson plans consistent with objectives and submit to building principal.
  • Prepare lessons consistent with written lesson plans and IEPs.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and keep student records and materials organized.
  • Handle routine classroom discipline fairly.
  • Submit all required reports in a timely manner.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings and professional development.
  • Maintain complete student records including attendance and performance.
  • Provide professional feedback to students and parents in compliance with laws and district policies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior in all school interactions.
  • Comply with laws and board policies and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • 1.Establish and implement classroom procedures designed to maximize student learning.
  • 2.Prepare detailed weekly lesson plans consistent with Common Core objectives.Timely submit plans to assigned principal.
  • 3.Prepare lessons consistent with written lesson plans and best education practices.Comply with all Individualized Education Plans.
  • 4.Maintain a neat and orderly classroom, including the physical arrangement of the room, student records and materials.
  • 5.Handle routine classroom discipline fairly.
  • 6.Prepare and timely submit all required reports.
  • 7.Attend and participate in all required meetings and conferences, including professional development and planning meetings.
  • 8.Maintain complete and accurate student records, including attendance, performance and discipline records.
  • 9.Provide professional and regular feedback to students and parents, ensuring compliance with all laws and district policies and procedures.
  • 10.Regularly participate in appropriate professional development opportunities.
  • 11.Utilize professional behavior in all school related interactions.
  • 12.Comply with all federal, state and local laws and board policies and procedures.
  • 13.Perform all other tasks as supervisor may assign.
