Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farming transportation worker to operate trucks, haul crops, and load/unload using forklifts, laser weeders, pallet jacks, and hand carts. Must lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in dusty, hot or cold conditions.

You will also assist with truck/tractor maintenance and follow supervisor instructions for safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include loading crops, transporting to storage/packing facilities, and performing routine maintenance as needed, in an outdoor farm

Job description

Operate trucks to haul crops from the farm to storage and/or packing facilities. Load and unload crops or containers using forklifts, laser weeders, pallet jacks and/or hand carts. Must be able to reach, bend and lift items weighing 50 pounds. Must be able to work outdoors in dusty/dirty conditions, at extreme heat and cold inclement weather. Must be able to listen to, understand, and follow simple instructions of supervisors. Must be able to work in fields where ants, snakes and poison ivy are encountered. The alternative work is truck/tractor maintenance and repair. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. The employer will charge the worker for reasonable costs related to the worker’s refusal or negligence to return any tools or due to such worker’s willful damage or destruction of the tools furnished by the employer.

Cargar y descargar cultivos o contenedores utilizando montacargas, desmalezadoras láser, transpaletas y/o carretillas manuales. Debe ser capaz de estirarse, agacharse y levantar objetos que pesen 50 libras. Meals:

Per 655.122(g), the employer will provide three (3) meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and will charge the workers up to $16.78 per day, for the workers residing in the housing facility, subject to change with the publication of new rates by the Office of Foreign Labor Certification in the Federal Register. The employer will provide free transportation once per week to and from the laundry facility and store to obtain other necessities.
