Job summary

The State of Hawaii is seeking an Agricultural Commodities Marketing Specialist I, an entry-level inspector, to learn and apply fundamental inspection procedures, concepts, laws, and regulations for agricultural commodities. Training is provided on-the-job to perform inspections and certification for state programs.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, be legally authorized to work in the U.S., and hold a valid Hawaii driver’s license. Lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Experience equivalent to a bachelor's in agriculture may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs with assistance or equipment.
• Valid Hawaii driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
