Hawkins Construction is seeking a hands‑on Aggregate Treatment Engineer to support innovation in recycled concrete aggregate (RCA), carbonated aggregate, and sustainable construction materials. This role combines field engineering, laboratory testing, materials research, and academic collaboration—ideal for engineers who want applied impact in heavy civil and infrastructure construction.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and maintain equipment for carbonated aggregate production and carbon capture utilization (CCUS)
- Conduct aggregate quality control testing (LA abrasion, crush value, ASTM testing)
- Operate and maintain construction materials laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with university research partners and analyze technical reports
- Source recycled concrete materials, evaluate debris recycling operations, and research multi-state market opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or Materials Engineering
- Experience with aggregate testing, concrete testing, QC/QA, and field engineering
- Interest or experience in sustainability, circular economy, carbon reduction, and environmental compliance
- Strong problem‑solving skills, teamwork, and hands‑on mindset
