Job summary

Midwest Concrete Materials is seeking a hands-on operator to join our aggregate crew. You will operate heavy equipment, perform welding tasks, and help maintain loading and hauling operations on-site in Kansas. The role requires safety-minded work habits and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment and welding preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• CDL Class B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Load trucks with a rubber tire loader.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain professional conduct.
• Maintain customer relations and uphold safety standards.
• Assist with operations outdoors in all weather.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform daily preventative maintenance, pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Ability to load trucks with a rubber tire loader
• Good judgment regarding work site access and equipment operation
• Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner
• Perform all tasks with Safety in mind
• Ability to operate CDL vehicles as needed (preferred)
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations beneficial

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment required
• Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred
• CDL Class B (preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift objects of various dimensions and weights
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, reach, squat, push and pull objects
• Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all temperatures and weather
