Job summary

P.J. Keating Company, a CRH company, is offering a Summer Intern position in the aggregates and construction field. The internship runs from May 2026 to August 2026 with locations in Cranston, RI; Lunenburg, MA; and Acushnet, MA.

The intern will gain exposure to multiple aspects of our aggregate mining business and other lines of business. The role includes hands-on experience, monthly projections support with the Operations Manager, and learning admin responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management or Operations Management.
• Two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with company staff to determine solutions to common issues.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager/accounting on monthly projections.
• Learn the administrative requirements of the business through hands-on experience.
• Learn the importance of taking detailed messages and timely communication.
• Engage with multiple departments on special projects as needed.
• Assist Plant Foreperson with field calculations and cost yields communication and accountability.
• Help track and record fuel usage, hour meter readings, and mileage reporting for equipment.
• Shadow operations personnel to learn planning and objectives.
• Learn budgeting, production planning, staffing, and inventory procedures for aggregates.
• Learn about sales objectives and materials available in quarries and pits.
• Gain basic operations and logistics knowledge.
