Job summary

Apple is seeking an engineering manager for the Input Experience NLP team in Cupertino. You will lead ML/NLP product development, scale agentic pipelines, and align data, tooling, and evaluation with product goals across languages and platforms.

You will collaborate with human interfaces, internationalization, and system integration to move from research to shipped features, overseeing data synthesis, model training, auto-evaluation, and user feedback to drive performance and impact.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong foundation in Data Science and ML stack.
• Familiarity with product ML/NLP lifecycle.
• Experience with SFT, RLHF, data synthesis, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enable next-generation agentic ML product development systems at scale.
• Bridge ML research and product reality, aligning model performance with customer needs.
• Define and execute state-of-the-art paradigms for ML features across languages and platforms.
• Build and refine personalized data/evaluation pipelines for synthetic personas and languages.
