Job summary

Google is seeking an Agentic AI Security Consultant in Illinois, USA, with a strong background in Python, LLMs, and cybersecurity. You will design and implement AI agents to augment cyber defense workflows, integrate with SIEM/SOAR/EDR, and work across CDC, CSIRT, and SOC engagements.

You will collaborate with clients, implement AI tooling, and help scale agent-based security solutions, while leveraging Google Cloud AI/ML services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of Python experience.
• Experience integrating systems via REST APIs and cloud platforms.
• Experience building with LLMs, including prompt engineering, function/tool calling, RAG, or agent frameworks.
• Experience with Generative AI, Model Context Protocol, API Development, Workflow Automation, and cybersecurity in SOC or incident response roles.

Responsibilities

• Identify challenges in customer Cyber Defense Centers and plan improvements to completion.
• Provide expertise for AI and Agentic technologies used by CDC, CSIRT, and SOC.
• Design, build, and maintain AI agents and reusable skills that automate cyber defense workflows.
• Develop AI tooling and internal frameworks, prompt pipelines, tool integrations, and evaluation harnesses for deployment across engagements.
• Integrate agents with security data sources and platforms via API, MCP and other connectors.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in Python.
• Experience integrating systems via REST APIs and working with cloud platforms.
• Experience building with LLMs, including prompt engineering, function/tool calling, RAG, or agent frameworks.
• Experience with Generative AI, Generative AI Agent, Model Context Protocol, API Development, and Workflow Automation, and experience in cybersecurity in SOC or incident response roles.

Preferred qualifications

• 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, incident response, detection engineering, threat intelligence, or similar capability.
• Experience building multi-step or multi-agent systems and designing reusable agent skills/tools.
• Experience with AI evaluation, observability, and guardrails for production systems and familiarity with Google Cloud and its AI/ML services.
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience, with the ability to work across concurrent engagements.
• Familiarity with security tooling (SIEM, SOAR, EDR) and common security data formats.
• Ability to manage sensitive data responsibly and communicate technical work to non-AI specialists.

Responsibilities

• Identify challenges in customer Cyber Defense Centers and formulate strategies for improvement, plan implementation of improvements, and execute/oversee plans to completion.
• Provide expertise for AI and Agentic technologies that assist in Cyber Defense Center Processes and advise on AI and Agentic technologies relied upon by the client CDC, CSIRT, and SOC.
• Design, build, and maintain AI agents and reusable skills that automate and augment cyber defense workflows (alert triage, threat hunting, investigation, detection authoring, reporting, etc).
• Develop AI tooling and internal frameworks, prompt pipelines, tool/function integrations, evaluation harnesses, and orchestration that consultants can deploy across engagements.
• Integrate agents with security data sources and platforms (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, threat intelligence feeds, ticketing) via API, MCP and other connectors.
