Deloitte is building an AI-first healthcare decisioning platform in the United States. As an Agentic AI Engineer, you will own end-to-end systems from architecture to production, enabling reliable clinical and operational decisioning at scale.

You will collaborate with clinicians and domain experts, pairing engineering depth with domain knowledge. The role emphasizes robust engineering, safety, and long-horizon reasoning in a fast-growing AI initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or related field.
• Strong software/ML fundamentals plus substantial, recent hands-on agentic work.
• Experience designing and optimizing end-to-end RAG systems: indexing, retrieval, grounding, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic systems capable of multi-step reasoning, planning, tool use, and workflow execution.
• Build stateful workflows using LangGraph and LangChain with branching, retries, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Engineer for long-horizon reliability: recovery from errors, planning under uncertainty, robust tool use.
• Build the reasoning behind regulated decisions with auditable rationales across clinical review, prior authorization, and claims integrity.
• Develop end-to-end Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines including embedding, retrieval, and grounding strategies.
• Engineer memory and context management with persistent memory and token-efficient context selection.
• Apply MCP-style tool/context interfaces so agents access the right information at the right time.
• Implement observability and tracing for prompts, tool calls, retrieval quality, and production behavior.
• Apply guardrails and safety controls to reduce hallucinations and unsafe actions.
