Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking an NPI Assembler in Vancouver, WA to support electronic assembly of components and subassemblies for new product introductions and production goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading schematics, following operation sheets, and adhering to ISO procedures while maintaining tools, calibration, and quality standards through daily teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic electro/mechanical assembly skills.
  • Component identification and the ability to read technical assembly documentation.
  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.
  • Ability to recognize nonconformities.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Models positive and professional work ethics.
  • Considers the impact to quality when making decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Uses Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units.
  • Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature.
  • Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner.
  • Understands and follows all safety requirements.
  • Understands and follows ISO practices and procedures.
  • Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
  • May assist with training other AE employees in established processes.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The NPI Assembler performs electronic assembly of components, subassemblies, and chassis in support of new product introduction and production goals. This role ensures products are built to quality and performance standards while supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities and assembly activities may change daily.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Uses Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units

  • Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature

  • Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner

  • Understands and follows all safety requirements

  • Understands and follows ISO practices and procedures

  • Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance

  • May assist with training other AE employees in established processes

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Location: Vancouver, WA

  • Environment: manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced

  • Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of electronic assembly equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to perform basic electro/mechanical assembly skills

  • Component identification and the ability to read technical assembly documentation r

  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions

EXPERIENCE:
  • 2+ years electro-mechanical assembly (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly
  • Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices
EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $22 to $26 per hour.
