Job summary

Meta is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join the AI Partnerships Legal group in the United States. You will support a full range of commercial work powering Meta's AI ambitions, focusing on bringing models to market across ecosystems.

The role is within the AI Partnerships Legal team, which handles frontier model partnerships, data licensing, ecosystem distribution, and product integrations. Collaboration with BD, product, and policy is essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. (or equivalent) and active U.S. bar membership
• 5+ years of legal experience in technology transactions, commercial licensing, or partnerships
• Experience structuring and negotiating complex cloud/SaaS/tech deals
• Ability to operate independently and drive deals to close with minimal oversight
• Strong judgment on risk and advising where the law is evolving

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal partner for distributing Meta's AI models through CSPs, open source channels, and other go-to-market pathways.
• Structure, negotiate, and close distribution agreements to enable broad model availability while protecting Meta's interests.
• Lead or support complex AI commercial transactions, partnerships, and enterprise licensing.
• Advise on data licensing for model training and product development.
• Provide commercial legal counsel to teams building AI-powered consumer experiences across Meta apps.
• Collaborate with BD, product, engineering, policy, and other legal teams to enable fast moving commercial activity.
