Job summary

Bane-Welker Equipment is seeking an experienced AG Service Technician to join our Utica, OH Service Department. You will independently diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealer-owned agricultural equipment, reporting to the Service Manager.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, customer-focused service, and teamwork. Candidates should be ready to handle diverse repair tasks, maintain safe practices, and continuously improve billable hours.

Qualifications

• Perform basic and complex diagnostic, service repair, and maintenance work on agricultural equipment.
• Work independently and report to the Service Manager.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance work on equipment according to service schedules.
• Recommend additional work to the service manager and notify the customer.
• Ensure correct work assignment and seek clarification when needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and orderly work area.
• Observe safety rules and report injuries immediately.
• Communicate parts needed with the parts department.
• Notify service manager of delays or parts orders.
• Maintain consistent attendance and submit daily documentation.
• Improve billable hours and seek cost reductions or revenue opportunities.
• Report malfunctions promptly and avoid repeat repairs.
• Maintain knowledge of product lines and required licenses.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all AFS equipment (Monitors, Nav, autopilot).
• Other duties as assigned.
