Afterschool Teacher / Bus Driver - 9:30 am to 6:30 pm

Must be 21

We are looking for Teachers for after school care. Must be willing to drive a 14 passenger bus with training. The shifts we are looking for are between 9:30 am - 6:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

Our early childhood teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment and work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

1. Feel comfortable and safe working in a brand new, clean, state-of-the-art facility with added safety equipment and guidelines.
2. Feel a sense of accomplishment as you hear the laughter and experience the enthusiasm of children participating in activities that you planned.
3. Observe children’s interest and work with other teachers to develop creative ideas for a fun and engaging curriculum.
4. Experience working with lesson plans/ planning and STEAM activities
5. Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
6. Engage with other early childhood professionals and continue to grow in your profession.

Teacher Qualifications:

1. 1 year of early childhood education experience
2. Has knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first-aid procedures, program management and customer service principles.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Develops relationships with children, parents, and faculty members.
5. Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
6. Meets background check eligibility.
7. Works productively without supervision within established policies and procedures.
8. Highly motivated and takes direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Dependable, adaptable and enjoys working in teams.

Must meet these qualifications:

1. Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
2. Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
3. Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
4. Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
5. Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
6. Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
7. Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
