Job summary

Horizon Education Centers seeks a School Based Staff Member at Emerson Elementary School in Lakewood, OH. Responsibilities include homework help, engaging lesson plans, and supervising students after school hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a school-age setting preferred.
• Willingness to obtain required trainings and follow licensing rules.

Responsibilities

• Homework assistance in one-on-one and small groups; check work and ensure completion.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and clubs.
• Care and supervision of children and classroom management per licensing standards.
• Work independently and as a team lead with staff and director.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and staff; maintain confidentiality.
• Document services provided, such as progress reports and attendance screenings.
• Provide meal service support and assist with transportation plans if needed.
