Job summary

MentorKids USA is seeking a leader for our 5th–8th grade classroom in the Paiute Promise neighborhood (South Scottsdale). This person will plan lessons, organize activities, manage volunteers and interns, and teach Bible lessons, social skills, and sports activities for up to 30 students in our Afterschool Program.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily Bible lessons, social skills lessons, and teamwork activities that support student success and MentorKids USA core values.
• Provide leadership and direction for Assistant Leaders.
• Coordinate and manage weekly volunteer schedules.
• Meet biweekly with the K–8 team and Program Coordinator.
• Prepare monthly written reports on the program and student progress.

Job Description

MentorKids USA is seeking a leader for our 5th–8th grade classroom in the Paiute Promise neighborhood (South Scottsdale). This person will plan lessons, organize activities, manage volunteers and interns, and teach Bible lessons, social skills, and sports activities for up to 30 students in our Afterschool Program.

We are seeking an initiative-taking individual with previous experience who can encourage positive student behavior, organize volunteer schedules, and work enthusiastically with youth, families, and the community. Our Afterschool Program focuses on spiritual growth, academic success, and leadership development.

This is a part-time position, Monday through Thursday, 2:30–5:30 p.m., with occasional weekend events. Pay is based on professional experience.
