Job summary

LaAmistad, Inc. is seeking passionate teachers for its afterschool program in Roswell, Georgia. As a classroom teacher, you'll support K-5 students by delivering tailored math and reading instruction. This part-time, in-person role involves working closely with the Site Director and coordinating with volunteers to create an engaging learning environment.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in education and 1-3 years of teaching experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage classroom activities are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of formal or informal teaching experience with children grades K-5.
• Comfortable managing and working in a room with a large group of elementary students.
• Ability to administer and interpret academic assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver academic support focused on reading and math tailored to students’ individual needs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Analyze student data to enhance learning outcomes.
