Job summary

Acera is seeking Part-Time Afterschool Enrichment Teachers in Winchester, MA to lead hands-on, project-based classes for small groups. Classes run 3:00 PM–6:00 PM in 12-week trimesters, with opportunities in STEM, arts, outdoor ed, sewing and woodshop.

Ideal candidates bring teaching experience, strong communication, and a collaborative, student-centered approach. Start date is as soon as available.

Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience is highly desired, mentoring may be available in lieu of substantial prior teaching experience.
• Great skills in specialist areas and relevant tool use.
• Highly organized and able to steward workspaces with care, to leave a ready-to-go space for others.
• Experience setting norms for safety.
• Flexible and adaptable for changes and surprises; able to cope with a vibrant and busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver project-based enrichment curriculum tailored to student cohorts across three age bands.
• Tailor instructional approaches to diverse learning styles, prioritizing safety and stewardship of shared spaces.
