Job summary

A premier educational institution in Hawaii is looking for Extended Day Group Leaders to support children's social and emotional development in a fun, safe environment. Candidates must have a High School Diploma and 6 months of experience working with young children in a licensed facility. Responsibilities include planning activities, maintaining classroom management, and effective communication within the team. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $16.50 to $22.00, with a schedule from 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• At least six months experience working with 0–5 year olds in a licensed facility is required.
• Preferred: 6 months experience working with 5–12 year olds in a recreational or school facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and recreational activities.
• Maintain classroom management and established routines.
• Support student learning during afterschool.
• Supervise students during instructional time, recess, and transitions.
• Communicate effectively with the Extended Day team.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Follow all school policies and procedures detailed in the Employee Handbook.
