Job summary
A premier educational institution in Hawaii is looking for Extended Day Group Leaders to support children's social and emotional development in a fun, safe environment. Candidates must have a High School Diploma and 6 months of experience working with young children in a licensed facility. Responsibilities include planning activities, maintaining classroom management, and effective communication within the team. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $16.50 to $22.00, with a schedule from 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
High School Diploma is required.
At least six months experience working with 0–5 year olds in a licensed facility is required.
Preferred: 6 months experience working with 5–12 year olds in a recreational or school facility.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and recreational activities.
Maintain classroom management and established routines.
Support student learning during afterschool.
Supervise students during instructional time, recess, and transitions.
Communicate effectively with the Extended Day team.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Follow all school policies and procedures detailed in the Employee Handbook.
