Job summary

A local school district in Ramseur, North Carolina is looking for a part-time Bus Driver. The Bus Driver ensures safe and efficient transportation for students, operates assigned routes, and conducts pre-trip inspections. Must possess a valid North Carolina Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with school bus certification. Ideal candidates will have considerable knowledge of bus operation practices and be able to maintain discipline among students. Flexible hours based on routes; starts immediately.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of traffic laws and school bus regulations.
• Ability to detect and report observable mechanical defects or failures on the school bus.
• Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License with school bus certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate the assigned school bus on the route(s) and schedule provided.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document as needed.
• Maintain discipline of students assigned to ride the school bus.
