Kennie’s Market is hiring a Produce Clerk to support the Produce Manager in delivering top-quality produce and excellent guest service. You will greet customers, assist with packaging, and help maintain inventory and cleanliness in the department.

The role emphasizes safe operation of equipment, accurate pricing, and collaboration with supervisors to meet daily goals and guest expectations.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; present information to customers and coworkers.
• Math skills not required.
• Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and respond to questions courteously, explain store policies.
• Sell, wrap, and package merchandise for guests.
• Process special orders or requests from guests.
• Prepare and organize the cooler, freezer, and preparation area; unload deliveries and verify invoices.
• Clean department floors, mirrors, cases, and equipment; safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a neat, clean, visually appealing department to boost guest sales.
• Ensure safety of self and others by following store safety rules and reporting hazards.
• Remove broken containers and packing materials from sales floor promptly.
• Operate equipment safely (pallet jack, baler, knife, forklift, etc.; must be 18+ for certain tasks).
• Count and record merchandise for inventory; adjust prices as directed.
