That Nanny Place LLC is seeking a part-time Afternoon Mother’s Helper in Austin, TX (78704) to assist with a 2-year-old and newborn. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 3pm–7pm, starting ASAP. Contract for 6 months with potential extension; pay is $30–$35/hour.

Role requires at least 5 years of childcare experience, preferably with infants and toddlers, and strict allergy-related requirements for the child. Must be reliable, nurturing, and able to work closely with the family.

Afternoon Part‑Time Mother’s Helper – Austin, TX, 78704

A family in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced, dependable, and attentive Part‑Time Mother’s Helper to assist with the care of their 2‑year‑old and newborn. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional childcare experience, including experience with infants and toddlers.

Schedule: Monday‑Friday 3pm-7pm

Start date: ASAP

Contract: 6 months with potential to extend

Pay: $30-35/hour

Responsibilities

The Mother’s Helper will work alongside the family to provide attentive care and support with the children’s daily routines. Responsibilities may include assisting with newborn care, engaging the toddler in age‑appropriate activities, preparing bottles or snacks, helping with naps and diaper changes, and keeping child‑related areas tidy and organized.

Requirements

Due to the family’s daughter having a significant dander allergy and sensitive skin, the family has specific health and allergy‑related requirements for this position:

• Minimum of 5 years of childcare experience, preferably with newborns and toddlers.
• Candidate must not own pets or live in a household with pets and should not have plans to get a pet in the near future due to the child’s dander allergy.
• During working hours, the candidate must avoid wearing or using body products such as lotions, hair products, foundation, sunscreen, or bug spray unless approved by the family based on guidance from their daughter’s dermatologist. Vanicream products are currently approved.
• Must be up to date on the current season’s COVID and flu vaccines.
• Tdap booster required if the candidate has not received one within the past 5 years.
• Dependable, nurturing, patient, and comfortable working closely with a parent in a Mother’s Helper role.
